Basketball Equipment Review: First Team Thunder Ultra Basketball Hoop

Most gymnasiums these days are built for multiple sports to be played on the same floor. Whether its volleyball, basketball, tennis, or soccer the courts need to be multifunctional. At SuperiorHoops.com we want your gymnasium to be as fun as it can be and that means flexibility. The players get to play the sport they want when they want. We know players needs and provide the First Team Thunder Ultra portable basketball to meet them perfectly. The First Team Thunder Ultra is the ideal portable basketball hoop. It is easily moved by one person from location to location.

The person simply releases a lever and pushes the hoop to the desired spot. The goal sits on 6 non-marking roller wheels in order to keep your floor looking nice. In addition, the hoop is easily compactable when it is time to store it. The rim and backboard fold down against the base in order for the hoop to fit through doors and into small spaces. The Thunder Ultra comes with base padding in any color. We can also print the name of your program right on the padding. There is also optional padding for the backboard at a small extra charge. The rim height is easily adjustable by a hand crank to any height that you want.

You can cadre to all ages. All in all, the Thunder Ultra portable goal proves to be the most adaptable goal for any circumstance. First Team Thunder Ultra portable basketball goals are an excellent choice for any school gymnasium, recreation complex, multipurpose facility, or church in need of a superior quality portable working within a budget.

• The Thunder is adjustable. Its simple to use hand crank allows for infinite height adjustments from regulation 10′ down to 6′. An easy to crank adjustment handle on the backside of the unit telescopes the backboard and rim to the desired playing height.

• One person can easily move the Thunder portable goal. An easy to grip release crank unlocks the brake and six roller wheels contact the playing surface for smooth portablility. The extension arm can quickly be dropped down to allow the unit to pass under any standard height set of double doors.

• The distance from the backboard to the base of the unit is 4′ with the rim at the regulation 10′ height. This allows the base of the unit to sit “off the court” for player safety. The base dimensions are 58″ long x 40.5″ wide. – Heavy foam padding covers the entire front of the unit for additional safety. Padding is available in several colors.

• The unit is durable and stable enough to withstand slam dunk action and will not tip over when players hang on the rim. A variety of backboards ranging from 36″x 48″ to 36″x 60″ are available on the Thunder. This allows the unit to meet an array of facilities and budget needs.
